1. They're shooting "The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe"!
2. The release of Dreamfall (computer game) is set for the end of the year.
3. New Harry Potter book! Just finished reading! Will comment in next post.
4. Saturn left my sign after 2 LOOOONG years (and for those who don't believe in astrology, this is probably silly, but damned if I don't feel much lighter...)
5. My new hair cut. It's a little bit shorter than shoulder-length. I LOVE IT.

on 2005-08-02 03:04 pm (UTC)As for Saturn... Hmm, I once read a whole book on the meaning of the planet, but putting it simply, Saturn is called the "taskmaster". He's the serious planet, the one that gives you a hard time and expects you to do your best and gets really pissed if you don't. So having him in your sign, which happens once in every 28 years, more or less, generally means having a hard time. And seriously? These past two years have been HARD. But yay! It's moved on, and won't be back here for another 28 years *g* So I'm happy.

on 2005-08-02 06:08 pm (UTC)So what's your sign? And what sign has Saturn moved into? That all seems to make a lot of sense. Ive always thought astrology was really interesting. Maybe Ill pick up a book or two about it at the library next time I am there.
(heh, our icons match!)

on 2005-08-03 04:26 am (UTC)I'm Cancer. So, saturn's been in Cancer roughly for the past 2 years. Let's see, just a quickie introduction: astrologers use a map of the sky at any given moment and divide it up in twelve parts, called houses. Each house has a meaning, the first being you as an individual, the second is finances, the third is communications, and so on. So when a planet is in your sign, it's considered to be in your first house (generically speaking, because in reality your first house depends on your rising sign, but that's complicating stuff a bit, so we'll skip it *g*). Like I said, that's the house of your identity. So the time when Saturn's in your sign is the time when you get lessons about yourself and your personality. Then it moves on to your second house, then to your third, and so on. He kind of teaches you lessons on the topic of the house he's on at the moment. So now that he's moved from my first house to my second house, I'll probably have to watch my finances more closely. But I prefer that to what I had these past 2 years...
That's about it. Heh, I don't know if that made *any* sense. It's a little bit complicated... And I didn't even mention retrograde phases, personal charts, that kind of stuff that us geeks like *g*
Oh, and Saturn's in Leo now. What sign are you?
