Award shows - Why do I still watch them?
Sep. 23rd, 2002 12:54 pmAnd another friend! *waves* Hi weredonut! Hee. This LiveJournal thing is fun :)
Anyway, yesterday I stayed up to watch the Emmys. I had this image that the Emmys were different from the Oscars. Less commercial. Less boring.
I was, of course, wrong.
Why oh why do I insist on watching award shows? It started off ok, but God, by midnight I was already dozing off. BORING! And Six Feet Under didn't get a damn thing (other than best directing, I think). The actors are amazing and at least one of them should have gotten something, but nooooo. They gave gave West Wing their umpteenth awards. Un. Fair.
At least Band of Brothers got a lot of awards. And Major Winters always gets to me. And I adore Tom Hanks. So yeah, that part was good :)
Ah well. Next year I'll know better. Although I do recall saying the same thing last year...
