Change, but start slowly, because direction is more important than speed.
Sit on another chair, on the other side of the table.
Later, change tables.
When you go out, try walking on the other side of the street. Later, change your way, walk through other streets, calmly, observing attentively the places you pass.
Take another bus. Change your clothes style for a while. Give away your old shoes. Try walking barefoot for a few days. Take an entire afternoon off to walk freely on the beach or in the park and listen to birds singing.
See the world from different perspectives. Open and close drawers with your left hand. Sleep on the other side of the bed... later, try sleeping in other beds.
Watch other TV shows, buy other newspapers... read other books. Don't make habit a life style! Love novelty. Sleep later. Sleep earlier.
Learn a new word each day in another language. Correct your posture. Eat a little bit less, choose different foods, new flavors, new colors, new delicacies.
Try the new every day. The new side, the new method, the new taste, the new way, the new pleasure, the new love, the new life. Try.
Search for new friends, try new loves, make new relationships. Have lunch in different places, go to other restaurants, drink different beverages, buy bread in another bakery. Have lunch earlier, have dinner later, or vice-versa. Choose another market... another soap, another toothpaste... take a shower in different times.
Use different colored pens. Go walk in different places. Love a lot, more and more, in different ways. Change your purse, your wallet, your suitcase, change your car, buy new glasses, write different poetry. Throw away your old watches, delicately break those horrible alarm clocks.
Open an account in another bank. Go to other movies, other hairdressers, other theaters, visit other museums. CHANGE.
Remember that you have only one life. And seriously consider getting another job, another occupation, a lighter work, more pleasent, more dignified, more humane. If you don't find reasons to be free, invent them. Be creative. Take a trip for no reason. Try new things. Change again, and again. Try again.
You'll certainly get to know things both better and worse than the ones you already knew, but that's not the point. The most important thing is change, movement, dynamic, energy. I repeat out of sheer joy of living: salvation comes through risk, without which life isn't worth it.
