maristuSo... I've been offline this entire weekend. But I have a good excuse! Really!
Me and a couple of friends decided to play a game called "bat". It's, well, I'd say like baseball but with tennis balls and flat wooden bats. And really, that's all the similarity there is, because it's played in pairs, and has two bases, and a whole bunch of rules that I won't go into because, you know, it's boring and stuff unless you're actually planning on *playing*. So we were having a blast, laughing our asses off (you have no idea how funny it is to watch a bunch of 30-something playing a street game that's usually only played by 10 year olds), until I *very stupidly* ran after a rogue ball and positioned myself precisely behind the batter. The result: one very bent pair of sunglasses, a reasonably-sized gash to my left eyebrow (and the matching reasonable amount of blood), and an amazingly huge bump on my forehead. No, really, I looked like a badly beaten boxer. Disgusting. I decided not to go to the doctor, since I was even more afraid of getting stitches than I was of having an aneurism or whatever. I just iced it a lot and eventually I started looking less like a monster. Luckily I didn't get a black eye, and the cut closed by itself, so all in all it wasn't really a big deal. I just have a very very sore forehead right now.
