Alone

My husband's moved out yesterday. We weren't doing very well for a long time, but I'm still surprised this happened. I didn't want it to happen... Although I'm the one who brought the subject up, who wanted to analyse our relationship. I'm the one who wasn't happy. But I didn't want him to leave. I wanted couple's therapy or something.

I just got an email from him saying that he's packed most of his clothes, but has to go back for more some other day. Asking if he can keep the laptop. I feel like crying, except I don't have a shoulder to cry on. Everyone thinks I'm fine. I thought I was fine...

I don't know what to do now.

This is so terrible.

Do you have someone you can stay with? Your mom? A close friend? I think you need someone nearby when you go through this--there is a tendency to go into a bit of shock when this sort of thing happens.

Yeah, I thought it would come to this too... I was just surprised, is all.

Now I have to figure out if I even *want* him to come back... Which is the hardest part. Being alone gives you waaaay too much time to think.

My family and friends have been amazing... But I'm staying at my place. It feels safer, for some reason. The shock is starting to wear out. Now I'm just waiting to see what happens next.

We've got the big screen and the event to put in front of it, now all we need are you, the fans, to get out your digital cameras, put pointy ears on a few of your friends, and fire up Adobe Premiere!
