There's no place like home...
Oct. 31st, 2002 03:15 pm...well, I don't exactly have a home per se at the moment, since I'm in the middle of the move, but still, it's good to be back at my computer. Where I can VID!
Yes, I'm going crazy trying to cram at least four vids in the next week (three b'day vids, one personal project). But heh, I'm having fun, so no harm in that, right? Hopefully I'll get all the b'day vids done in time.
So, I was listening to my broadway musical CD ("The Only Broadway CD You'll Ever Need". Hah!) and I ran into this beautiful song that I'd totally forgotten about:
The Impossible Dream
To dream the impossible dream
To fight the unbeatable foe
To bear with unbearable sorrow
To run where the brave dare not go
To right the unrightable wrong
To love pure and chaste from afar
To try when your arms are too weary
To reach the unreachable star
This is my quest, to follow that star
No matter how hopeless, no matter how far
To fight for the right without question or pause
To be willing to march into hell for a heavenly cause
And I know if I only stay true
To this glorious quest
That my heart will be peaceful and calm
When I'm laid to my rest
And the world will be better for this
That one man, scorned and covered with scars
Still strove with his last ounce of courage
To reach the unreachable stars
This is from "Man of La Mancha", the Broadway version of Don Quixote (which is a great book, BTW).
It is *so* going to turn into a Clark vid. Really. As soon as I have the time. Blame
bonibaru for luring me into the dark side of broadway musicals :-P
