Lionel. If Lex kills him...well. He'll never forgive himself. Or at least, the depiction we currently have of Lex wouldn't.
Exactly. There's this *big* gap between the Lex of today and the future Criminal Mastermind!Lex. They're bridging that gap nicely, though, so I'm guessing in the next three or four seasons Lex will turn. Probably once he leaves Smallville and goes back to Metropolis. It's easy being a good boy in a small town *g*
But that's it - Lex needed Lionel before, when he was rebelling and getting expelled and generally being a fuckwit, but now he knows where he's going, and he is trying to do his best to break free of Lionel.
Hmm... I have this feeling that, although he *consciously* wants to break free of Lionel, deep down his desire is to find love and pride in his father. Maybe it's just my overly psychological rendition of this relationship, but although Lex *says* he wants to be the opposite of Lionel, his actions shows the exact opposite, that he wants to be *exactly* like Lionel. Or rather, *better* than Lionel. Or worse. Ah. You know what I mean *g*
It's a strange, complicated relationship that probably only Freud could explain...
is that the new Linkin Park song?
Don't know about new... It's new for *me*, but I'm here in the other side of the world, so... But yeah, it's sooo good :)
And don't worry about babbling, I do the exact same thing. It's fun!
